CS 03 · Extension · Advisory
Advisory reaches growers directly, and every response is logged.
IFGTB's tree growers ecosystem spans growers, industry, research institutions, quality planting material (QPM) and nursery operators, and the State Forest Department — but advisory, government scheme information, market information and practice packages had no single channel to reach that network. Outreach depended on scattered, one-way channels rather than a platform any stakeholder could use directly.
Kultivate Inai powers IFGTB Treegenie, launched as three linked pieces: a public website for information sharing, a mobile app where growers self-register and interact, and an internal portal for IFGTB to manage content and track usage. Registration captures a grower's contact details alongside geo-fenced land location and area, ownership status, crop or clone type and age, and water source and quality. Growers query experts directly — with image upload and a full answer history — or search an FAQ library covering land suitability, quality planting material, package of practices, intercropping, crop protection, and training programmes. Package-of-practices content draws on IFGTB's own micropropagation research for true-to-type clonal material, and a yield calculator gives growers an estimated range for their crop and inputs. IFGTB officials send targeted alerts filtered by stakeholder type and crop, rather than broadcasting to everyone.
Advisory that once moved through scattered, one-way channels now reaches growers directly on one multilingual platform — every query, answer and notification logged and visible to IFGTB.
